TO BLOG OR NOT TO BLOG
There are a number of apps out there that can help simplify the process of writing a WordPress blog — or even just make it a more eye-pleasing experience.
Right now I’m writing this using PixelPumper. It’s (currently) free in the Mac App store and features a simple, if a little quirky, interface for writing and publishing your WordPress articles. Usually I’d login to the backend and type away in my browser but I have to say I’m enjoying this standalone writing experience (if only to going elsewhere in the backend and tinkering!). At this price it’s certainly worth giving it a go.
Here’s some other options I’ve come across while looking for something to use today (apologies Windows users, these are Apple only, as that’s what I use at home and work):
BlogEasy (Mac, IOS) – a simple but what looks like a well put together set of apps.
Marsedit (Mac)– the grandaddy of blogging desktop apps. Pricey too, but has a lot of great reviews and functionality.
Byword (Mac, IOS) – this looks fantastic but I was put off by having to pay more (in app purchase) in order to publish my posts.
Anyway, I’d love to hear about what you use to manage and publish your blog content. Comment here, send us an email, or let us know on Facebook.
