The Baker Boys on King was a new venture for two young bakers that had just purchased an existing bakery. We had been asked to look at the existing branding that came with the purchase and come back with a solution that would add more value to the business. Customers commonly greeted the two lads as ‘The baker boys’ when coming into the bakery and gave us an insight into what the new name should be.
When we created the new identity we wanted it to have some fun to it but still look professional and appealing. The letter ‘B’ for Baker Boys when turned sideways created a shape the resembled a loaf of bread. It also reflected another core part of the business, the chief hat that many bakers use.
